First paint on the new neko.
3/4 of the way with a new Galaxy People sculpt.
I said a while ago, elsewhere, that the Galaxy People universe was missing two major elements- big cats and radiolaria. Well, here’s what I’ve been working on- satisfies the first requirement.
Actually it’s not even 3/4 finished really. When I’ve got the outside done I’ve got to start on the insides. Think Griffin’s neighbour’s cat!
Updates soon.

Return from Design Festa 33
Design Festa 33 was a lot of fun- caught up with a bunch of people and met a whole lot of new faces.
Huge thanks if you picked anything up from my table- I left the festival with pretty much an empty box, but the last couple of Chirops have just gone up on the Galaxy People store.
Stuck behind the table I didn’t get a chance to see much of DF beyond my immediate neighbouring booths, but for a good overview of the represented toy scene check out the Saturday coverage by Kaiju Korner and Sundays at sqdblstr.
Design Festa デザイン・フェスタ 33
Galaxy People will be appearing in force at Design Festa in just a few days time. Expect reappearances from Skarthrax, Chirops and the debut appearance of an all new mysterious villain.
Sunday May 15th. Design Festa, Tokyo Big Sight, Booth A-198 all toys ¥2500 each
ILANENA 10th Anniversary Dai Kaiju Card Monsters Custom Toy Show
ILANENA 10th Anniversary Dai Kaiju Card Monsters Custom Toy Show kicks off tomorrow at the Alternative Cafe in Nakano (8th February 2011). Over 24 national and international artists are partaking in this exhibition, combining Ilanena’s trio of kaiju with their own imaginations to create some truly mind-blowing customs. I got a preview of some of the sets at Wonderfestival over the weekend, and there are some really amazing works in this show.
It’s going to be a definite must-see if you are anywhere near Tokyo over the next week and a half.
Here are the Galaxy People entries,
Superfestival 55 releases up in the shop!
Superfestival was a great event, as always a chance to meet up with other like minded toy freaks and to see what twisted creations their warped minds had been imagining.
No event photos from me this time, but the usual suspects Kadomium Tank, sqdblstr and Kaiju Korner have got a bunch up.
Left-overs from my offerings are up at the Galaxy People Webstore. 2 Glow in the Dark numbers, and a Clear crystal blue Parasitoid with pearlescent spray.
SuperFestival 55
An early preview for the next release.
